We bought more vegetables and planted a bit today.
We had to go to Home Depot for some things today, and we ended up buying some veggies to plant, too! We got two garlic pots, two yellow bell peppers, two red bell peppers, two green bell peppers, a jalapeno pepper, an anaheim pepper, some bags of bulbs for red onions, yellow onions, and asparagus, a dill plant, two chocolate mints, a catnip (Shadow LOVED that one!), two zucchinis, and four romaine lettuces.
When we got home I planted the two garlics next to the tomatoes in our North kitchen planter.
And in the South kitchen planter I finally put in our strawberries. The 8 Sequoia strawberries are closest to the garage side-door, and the 8 Chandler strawberries are closer to the kitchen window. It was too cold and windy to plant anything else this afternoon, though!
Josh had also dug another test hole in our orchard planter (we had told our contractor that the plastic tarps and gravel pits were unacceptable for our planter that we paid a lot of money for, so he had our planter dug out again and they removed that tarp and spread out the gravel a bit more), and it is MUCH better! So now we have a hole ready and waiting for some more of our fruit trees to get in the ground as soon as we have a bit more time.
