Wild Parrots

 

There have been wild parrots in this area, and near where my parents live, too,  for a very long time. They have their usual flight patterns and roosting areas, and sometimes you’ll see them in out of the ordinary places. You can tell when they’re around, because you’ll hear a very loud, continuous squawking cacophony. There are usually a very large group of them in flight, and you’ll see their bright green color. We’ve never seen them this close, though!

Josh and I were on our laptops, and the angle his is at allows him to see out of our large front window from the corner of his eye. He glanced over because he saw something large flying into our yard, and he thought he saw green. I’m so glad he got up to investigate, because it was no other than our flock of wild parrots! We were able to get photos and some video, too! (I love the parrot hanging upside down in the last photo!)
