Out in the yard
I was finally out and about in our yard again today for a little bit. I get very exausted so easily now, and the nausea is still here with me, but at least I was able to enjoy a bit of nature again! It was about 85 degrees outside, so it wasn’t a cold January day at all.
I wanted to check on our avocados that are growing on our Dwarf Little Cado tree. We have three that are growing on the tree right now, so I picked one of them and we’re going to leave it at room temperature in the house for a while until it ripens.
We had bought some bags of Spring-blooming bulbs from Home Depot back in September before we knew I was pregnant, and I had intended to plant them between October and December. Feeling as sick as I was during those months, I couldn’t even dream of it. I guess I must be feeling a bit better that I was able to plant a bunch of them today. I know it’s late (and they were already sprouting in the bags) but hopefully they still have a fighting chance.
Here are some of the beautiful flowers that are cheering up our yard right now that Josh and I have photographed today and earlier in the month:
Shadow was having a ball outside with us, chasing lizards and basking in the sun, and looking pretty as she posed for pictures!
