Nursery preparations and sneak peek

Josh and I went to Home Depot yesterday to buy the paint and supplies for the nursery. Before we even got pregnant, we thought either a pale Spring green or a light cheery yellow would be great for our baby’s walls. Now that we are expecting, and are actually getting to put together a nursery, it’s so exciting to be able to make these choices for real! We settled on a bright sunny yellow for the walls. This is what we chose – Pale Daffodil by Behr:

It’s tough to see the actual color in the photo above, but here is another look at Pale Daffodil (hopefully more accurate):

We wanted to be sure to get a low (or no) VOC paint, and the Behr Premium Plus Ultra paints are one of the most recommended low VOC paints out there.

Josh will be painting the room probably sometime this week. I can’t wait to see the finished results! The room we chose for the nursery is our former guest room, which is the closest room to ours at the top of the stairs:

This room is quite tiny, but we like that it’s next to ours. This is literally the whole room. We are standing in the doorway with the camera, and the only part of the room you can’t see in the photo is the closet which is the wall to the immediate left of the doorway. Actually, there is a small amount of the left wall not showing in this picture too, which is large enough for a bookcase.

Here is a sneak peek at our nursery decor (we chose the Snug as a Bug theme by Kidsline):

Stay tuned to the blog to see the nursery reveal (after painting and furniture arranging, etc.) hopefully later this week or next week!
