Pizza and pinball

For Josh’s birthday I’d wanted to take him to Round Table Pizza for dinner and for him to play a pinball machine he’s been wanting to play again. It was cold and rainy on his birthday and he decided to stay in. We took a rain check on our dinner date, so we got to do it this last Thursday.

It was so cool to get to watch Josh play the pinball (it was an Addams Family one) and he also played an old Mario Bros. game too. I played the pinball machine for a bit too, and really enjoyed it! The pizza (we had chicken, red onion, and mushroom) was really good there too. It was fun to take a special day to celebrate my Honey and get to do a fun outing with him! 🙂

Thanks for a great outing, Honey! I used to love pinball (and this Addams family machine in particular) back in the golden days of arcades when they were all over the place. I remember they’d usually have an entire wall of pinball in its own section away from the video machines. The Williams machines were all great with my favorites being Pin*Bot, Space Shuttle, Black Knight, and, later, Medieval Madness. While I always enjoyed the video machines, too, pinball takes a different type of tactile skill and it’s a fun challenge.

I’m so spoiled by my wife that my birthday gets to last at least a week every year! You’re too good to me, Honey, and I love that photo of you. It was exciting for me to see you play pinball for the first time and you were great at it. You actually got the highest score playing it only once whereas I pumped in at least $2 trying to get a decent score. I’m a bit rusty after all these years!

  I’m so glad you liked it…I had a lot of fun too! 🙂 Wow, that sounds cool, all those different pinball machines. And I can definitely see how it’s different from the video machines.
  Are you kidding? You spoil me every day of the year…I want to spoil you as much! 🙂

I remember the Addams Family pinball game!! Years ago, I remember a pizza place here in town having a Phantom of the Opera one, too. That’s so cool! And I love Josh’s shirt 🙂
