A visit from Josh’s Mom

Josh’s mom came over on Saturday to visit and see the nursery now that it’s been painted. She brought us a bunch of wonderful groceries from Trader Joe’s. Since I’ve been pregnant I haven’t felt up to shopping in grocery stores. The smells, seeing all the food…ugh, not feeling good! It was so great to have our kitchen stocked with some of our favorites again! She also surprised us and brought a gorgeous cake with real flowers on top so she could celebrate Josh’s birthday with us, too! It had white chocolate shavings all over it, and it was so good!

I forgot to mention that the pictures in this post and the last post (pizza and pinball) are taken with our new Nikon D7000 and our new Nikon 50 mm 1.4 G AF/S lens! We are very happy with how it performs indoors! I absolutely love these next two pictures of the cake that Josh took…I love the lighting and the composition he did. I would like it as artwork on our walls!
