My Project 52 submission this week

This week’s assignment at Project 52 was “Childhood Toys”. I set up this shot of my Apricot and Hopsalot Strawberry Shortcake doll and Laura’s (which she’s very kindly let me display with my collection, thank you Lee!) Apple Dumpling and Tea Time Turtle. I submitted this one for the assignment:

I also set up this shot with a compilation of several of my childhood toys – my Cabbage Patch doll, my Popple, my Angel Cake (Strawberry Shortcake blow kiss doll), Rainbow Brite and Twink, three of My Little Ponies, and then my Apricot and Hopsalot. I liked that it showed more of my old toys, but I think the shot with just the Strawberry Shortcake dolls was composed better, so that’s why I submitted that one.

It was fun to look at these great old toys again, and very exciting to think that some day our daughter will be playing with them!! So cool. 🙂
