Josh’s First Father’s Day

Yesterday Josh got to celebrate his first Father’s Day as a Dad! It was so fun to make him a Father’s Day card, and get him a “World’s Greatest Dad” t-shirt!(Not to mention how fun it was to dress Lillian up in a “My Dad Rocks” outfit!) ย I’m so proud of him, and so grateful to him for how wonderful he is with Lillian. She just adores her Daddy! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m so glad that we got to celebrate my Dad, too, and my brother George. They are great wonderful fathers too! It was a very fun day. It was so cool to take Lillian to Grandma and Grandpa’s for the first time!ย She got to meet Great Grandma La Vada for the first time, and she got to meet her cousins Mason and Brendon for the first time, too!

Here is Lillian meeting Great Grandma for the first time:

I breastfeed Lillian, and I also pump my breast milk and store it in the fridge. We always bring an extra bottle of breast milk with us in the diaper bag, in case she’s still hungry after feeding, or if I have to be separated from her for a while. George and Mom wanted to feed her, so we brought out the bottle of breast milk and they took turns feeding her!

Gnawing on Uncle George’s finger, LOL!

Dad made Makayla a birdhouse…it’s beautiful!

Laura got some beautiful photos for us!! She did such an awesome job on these (Thanks Laura!!!):

You rock, Laura, those are awesome pictures! ๐Ÿ™‚

Josh loves French Toast, so I wanted to make that for him for Father’s Day. (I was a bit late on making it…I made it for breakfast today.) I baked a loaf of white bread and cut thick slices like Texas Toast. Then I put eggs, milk, vanilla extract, lemon extract, and cinnamon in a bowl as the batter to dip it in. After cooking it, I topped it with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh fruit.

Hereย are Josh and Lillian unwinding for the night:

I submitted this picture below to Pioneer Woman’s blog for her “Fathers” photo contest, but it wasn’t picked. ๐Ÿ™ I love this pic of Josh and Lillian though!
