Lillian’s Baptism – Our Havenhill

Lillian was baptised on Sunday June 26, 2011 by the same Pastor that married Josh and I in 2006, and Brett and Laura in 2003 (and in the same church they were married in). George, Deanna, Becky, and Laura are her sponsors (Godparents). It was a wonderful service and a beautiful baptism. Josh and I wish we could hear it and see it again (we wanted it recorded, but his mom didn’t bring in her camcorder!). They said beautiful and inspiring things about Lillian, and we were very proud of her on her special day. Everyone remarked what a good baby she was and how cute she was. (She’s more than cute though…she’s beautiful!!!) She never cried throughout the service at all, and didn’t even cry when the water hit her head, either!

We didn’t get to have pictures taken during the actual service, but our Pastor said we could recreate the baptism afterwards and have pictures taken, so that’s what we did! (Thanks for getting great photos, Laura and Dad!)

After the ceremony we all went to Round Table Pizza to celebrate. We’re so happy and blessed to be able to have our daughter baptised, and to have such a wonderful family to celebrate it with! Thank you all for the wonderful gifts and cards you got Lillian! We treasure them all!

What a beautiful post, Honey. Lillian did just so perfectly and we’re so proud of her. It was a wonderful emotional experience to see our daughter baptised. We would sure love to hear the powerful words again but at least we have these great photos from Laura. I still can’t believe that you went through that natural pregnancy, labor, and delivery, Honey. You’re just looking incredible, as always, and you would have no idea that you just gave birth about a month ago. Thank you for bringing our beautiful daughter into this world! I just don’t ever feel like I can show enough pride in what you’ve been through. Lillian is just so adorable in her heirloom baptism gown and I’m so glad we have both the photos at the church and the ones we took of her at home with her bonnet as well. I just have the best family.

Lillian is just stunning. That first pic just puts a huge smile on my and everyones faces!!:) She was sooo good and it was a beautiful and special day:) You are welcome for the pics;) Josh you said such sweet things here as always. We have all been truly blessed to have you in the family and you and Rachel complement each other so perfectly, and now you have this amazing gorgeous daughter!!!!
