First playdate – Our Havenhill

Lillian met her friends for the first time on Saturday. It was so cute to see her reacting to other babies and studying their faces. She’d never seen another baby before and really seemed to enjoy it.

Two of my best friends from high school and I were all pregnant at the same time, and we all had girls! They are each spaced three months apart from each other. Christy’s daughter Charlotte, then Olivia’s daughter Cassidy, and then Lillian. It’s so cool to see them with their children and to know that I have my own child now too. A second generation of friendship. Amazing!

Christy made us all gorgeous hair clips (she even crocheted the flower ones…amazing!). Here is her daughter Charlotte modeling them:

It was very exciting to do our first playdate outing with Lillian! Thank you for this great post, Sweetie! It was great to see all the cute baby friends with their matching outfits and hair accessories. Such good girls! We’re so proud to get to have our very own beautiful girl now that we had always dreamed about. Part of our daydreams would be about taking her to a park and just enjoying walking around with her in her stroller. It’s incredible that it’s a reality now and not just something to dream about!

It was great to see the babies all aware of each other and for Lillian to get to see other babies for the first time. It’s smart how they seem to recognize and notice others like themselves. We also enjoyed actually getting to use Lillian’s stroller for the first time. Before this weekend we had always just carried her car seat for the short distances we would be carrying her but it was actually getting a bit heavy for us with her getting to be so big and strong. It was so much easier just to use the stroller and Lillian really seemed to enjoy the motion and fresh air, too. It made me want to do more fun little outings with her because of how easy it would be to ride her along and show her new nature places.

It’s awesome to get to see photos of our own little family at one of our favorite spots (plus Shadow at home)! 🙂

Thanks Sweetie! Yes, it was a lot of fun to get out with Lillian and have her meet her new friends. That was so cool to get to use the stroller for the first time with her too! 🙂
