The tomato thieves

We had been growing a huge amount of tomatoes this year. We actually even had some volunteer tomato plants pop up from remnants of last season’s crop. We weren’t sure if they would grow any tomatoes but they did….profusely! We had so many tomatoes that we weren’t picking them in time and a lot went to waste. But we kept noticing that some would go missing. And we also kept seeing large bites taken out of tomatoes left on the vine. Just looked like someone walking by took a big chomp and kept on their merry way. Well, we suspected the culprits, and we caught them in the act! Josh got these pictures of the little thieves. And while I hate that we have RATS in our TOMATOES (I mean, really, how can we eat them now?)…I have to admit they are SO CUTE. These pictures look like something that should be in an illustrated children’s book.
