A little of our day
I had to share some adorable pictures from our day today.
Lillian loves Shadow so much and just finds whatever she’s doing fascinating. She tries to talk to Shadow, and tries as hard as she can to move towards her, though that’s not happening for her yet poor baby!
I love the pictures above where she’s sucking in her lower lip.
It’s an adorable habit she’s had since the womb! Here’s a side-by-side comparison.
(Not only can you see her sucking her lip, you can totally see what our precious Lillian looked like even way back then. It’s absolutely breathtaking and gets me emotional. )
There she was, growing and being lovingly knit in the womb, and waiting for us! Waiting to join us and see us and be held by us. Wow!
Poor Josh has been sick since last weekend. He had a very sore throat, a bad cough, and lots of congestion.
It doesn’t stop him from being the best husband and father though! He’s kept right on doing everything he does for us, and not complaining.
He’s wonderful! I know it bothers him not to get to kiss and cuddle with Lillian though. He’s feeling much better so I think he can make up for lost time now!
Lillian had bananas (Earth’s Best organic first bananas) for the first time this morning.
SHE. LOVES. THEM!
Here are more pictures of Lillian and Shadow. 🙂
HA! I know it looks like Shadow’s being a Halloween kitty and hissing or something, but she’s just yawning and stretching.
See?
(But please don’t see how dirty the windows are. Yeesh.)
And what’s Lillian doing with that pillow you might wonder?
I think she’s using it to practice opening gifts.
(Not really! I know she just loves the look and feel of it, but it looks like this is what she might be thinking!) 😉
Hmmm. Nothing rattles when I shake it.
What? No clicky-clacky keys to press like on Mommy’s or Daddy’s keyboards?!
Mama…this doesn’t DO anything!
Hee hee! We’re eager to see if Lillian will enjoy ‘helping’ us open her presents, just the day after tomorrow. Wow!
I’ll leave you with this parting shot of Shadow. She didn’t want me to post it, but I thought the rainbow from Lillian’s jungle mat was neat.
And I’m sorry, Shadow, that it is literally a parting shot. 😉
