My Mountain High Moment
Josh and I are big yogurt fans, so it’s no surprise that our refrigerator is never out of stock of it! We both like the same flavors equally well, but we each have our certain preferences too. For example, I typically like plain yogurt, maple yogurt, and greek honey yogurt maybe the best, and Josh usually has a preference for the fruity ones. What’s the most important to both of us though is natural ingredients, like no artificial sweeteners, no artificial colors, and no rbST (artificial growth hormones). Lately our fridge has been stocked with Mountain High Yoghurt (And if you’re wondering why they use the ‘h’ in the word yoghurt you can read their explanation HERE, it’s cool!). Mountain High definitely fits the bill for us with its all-natural approach to yogurt!
I had a “Mountain High” moment the other day. Lately it’s super rare for me to take a minute for myself to do anything other than taking a shower (which I don’t even get to do every day!) or blogging, or consuming a fast and rushed meal. When you have a baby, such is life! But the other day, Josh told me to just take a little time to relax – sit, watch the birds at our new pond, and eat if I wanted. Well that sounded good! So while Josh was playing with Lillian I had some Mountain High Yoghurt while sitting and looking at our pond.
Talk about relaxing! Just hearing the water pour over the stones, seeing the fish swim lazily around, and tasting the chilled, smooth yogurt was a treat. I am trying to be conscious about what I put into my body especially while breastfeeding and it made me feel great to know I don’t have to worry about anything artificial in this brand of yogurt. Relaxing and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature while treating myself to a natural yogurt…what a great way to recharge! After licking the spoon clean, it’s back to reality…and that’s not a bad thing at all! Even though life has hectic moments with a baby, and there are endless tasks to be done, being with my family is the best thing to me!
What would your “Mountain High Moment” be? A minute out of your busy day to indulge in a treat like I did? Going for a hike in the mountains, or sunning on the beach? I’d be interested to hear what would recharge your “Mom” (or “Dad” or “Career” or “Woman”, etc.!) batteries. Let me know in the comments. 🙂
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Mountain High Yoghurt. I received a gift card to purchase yogurt, a product kit, and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
