43 weeks
43 weeks today! It’s 11:00pm and I’m finally getting a couple of minutes to post this today, but I may be needed at a moment’s notice…Lillian seems real upsettable right now which is so unlike her. She’s fussing a bit and doesn’t want to play. Every time Josh would come to take her when I was holding her she’d turn away and cling to me. Poor Josh, it was making him sad, but we know it’s just a temporary stage. She still says Dada almost exclusively though, so he has that!
Other things lately:
Lillian turns the pages in her books so well! She’ll turn them the correct direction using her left hand, then when the book is over she flips the pages the other way using her right hand. 🙂
She now knows how to turn on switches! Her bouncy seat is on the floor and she crawls over to it and pushes the switch to start the music! SO SMART!
She especially loves Music Choice’s ’80’s music channel on tv…she kicks her legs and bounces so much…it’s adorable. 🙂
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this yet but the last couple of weeks she’s been crawling up to me and standing up by holding on to my legs and pants then reaches her arms up to be picked up. I LOVE it! So sweet!
She crawls over to furniture like the sofa and pulls herself up to stand against it and has started cruising (just a couple little steps at a time for now though) !
Lillian stood up by herself for about 3 or 4 seconds earlier in the week! She crawled over to a full laundry basket, stood herself up by holding the edge of it, saw a shirt she wanted to grab so did that AND THEN SHE LET GO OF THE BASKET! I don’t think she realized she did let go, and she was really confident! It was amazing! She had a cute stance like her top half was leaning forward at the waist, like she was really steadying herself.
She drinks all by herself from a big girl cup!! Well it’s actually one of her sippy cups and we don’t screw on the lid, so it’s a real cup. We pour water in it and set it on her high chair tray and she grabs it in both hands and puts it to her mouth, tips it back and drinks! We’re SO PROUD of her!! She’s choked several times which is always scary and we feel so bad for her, but she really seems to love to drink, especially out of a cup!!
It’s late and I’m tired (she’s actually been going to sleep later and later lately…yikes. Sometimes it’s not till 2AM I get to sleep, but I never sleep past 8AM) so I’m probably forgetting some things but I hope not!
