Lillian’s first Easter
What a joy it was to celebrate Lillian’s first Easter with her! Besides Mother’s Day coming up, this was the last “First” holiday for her! I’d been dreaming of the day we would have a child to prepare an Easter basket for! And while Lillian can’t hunt for eggs yet, it was fun to put some empty eggs in her basket and see her excitement to play with them! We also put a divided plate with four sections in her basket, and a ducky with a squeaky bill and teether feet. She loved them!
Lillian’s dress is from JC Penney; her Easter bonnet is one that my sisters and I used as children on Easter; her duck, plate, and basket with personalized liner are from Pottery Barn Kids; her sweater is from Carter’s; her sandals are from The Children’s Place.
As always, my parents made a scrumptious ham dinner that the whole family enjoyed very much! My sisters took great photos, and everyone ooohed and awwwed at Lillian’s beauty! She got beautiful Easter presents from Grandma and Grandpa: an adorable summer outfit, a “my first Easter book”, and a bunny touch and feel book! Laura brought beautiful model horse toys made in Germany for all the kids to choose from. 🙂 Of course we knew Makayla would choose the black horse! And as soon as I saw the chestnut with the flaxen mane and tail I knew that’s the one Lillian would pick…and she did! It was a wonderful first Easter, and we’re very blessed and happy!
Lillian was thrilled to play with Brendon’s Ruby bunny! And here she is with her horse, as we were saying goodbye to family on her perfect first Easter!
