11 months old! (48 weeks old)
Again we have a rare Saturday where she turns both a new week and a new month! Lillian is 48 weeks old now, AND she’s 11 months! Wow, this last month went by in a flash. I’m trying to prepare for her first birthday party and find that I’m running out of time!
And here are pictures from her 11 month shoot: (Oh man did I need Josh’s help for these!! She is really hard to keep still for photos anymore!)
Oh, and this was an out-take from one of her weekly photos where it looked like she was playing a banjo so I photoshopped one in, ha ha!
Lillian has been getting two servings of pureed baby food lately; still her morning one, and now one in the afternoon also. This doesn’t decrease her nursing at all. She’s so active now that she needs more calories than ever, and the food just adds more calories while she’s still nursing the same as she always was. 🙂 She has also tried both bananas and apples in her mesh teether/feeder too and she loves it! She thinks it’s fun to feed herself that way!
We’ve been trying to teach her to sleep in her crib at night, but with no success so far. As soon as her head is placed in the crib, she’s wide awake and screaming (terror-filled, red-faced, sobbing tears). It’s heartbreaking. 🙁 I then nurse her back to sleep and try again. We try from about 9pm-1 or 2am. At that point we give up because she needs SOME sleep (and so do I!). Very disheartening.
A question: Do any of you actually do what’s recommended and just have a fitted crib sheet and nothing else in your baby’s crib? It seems so harsh and uncomfortable, but we fear having any other blankets, pillows, toys, etc. in there, but maybe it would make it a cozier environment for her? Maybe I’ll make a poll where people can vote in saying how they put their babies to bed. But for now, you can tell me in the comments. Thank you!
