49 weeks

Oh my goodness does time march on. Each week since Lillian was about ten months old is going by faster than the last! I’m almost hearing a mental drumroll as she approaches her one year old mark! I’m trying to get busy gathering decorations and preparing for her first birthday party. We’re going to host it here at home and we’re looking forward to it so much! I wish we had more of a chance to keep up with housework though, that would be so much easier than playing catchup and cleaning the whole house by then…but we can do it!

Lillian had her first taste of avocado yesterday and she LOVED it!! We cut up about 1/4 of one into little pieces and she (with our help putting them in her mouth) ate them all up!

AND…today we gave Lillian her first baby snack! It was Plum Organics Super Puffs in Mango and Sweet Potato. We were so paranoid about her choking that we were afraid to give it to her, but we’d bought them to give to her at some point soon and she saw them and just BEGGED for one! So we handed one to her and she put it into her mouth and ate it up like a pro! We’re so proud of her!

She’s so sweet…I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but she has been kissing whenever we say the word “kiss” for quite some time now. What a little sweetheart! Tonight she climbed onto furniture all by herself for the first time! Josh and I watched in amazement as she put a knee up onto her overturned toy box and used that to climb into our big dish chair! What a smartie! She was so excited and proud too. 🙂

As for our utter exhaustion and depressing sleep situation…that’s a post unto itself for sometime.
