I’m a Mother!

Celebrating my first Mother’s Day today is so incredible to me!! Thanks to this beautiful little girl I am now one of the ranks of women who are revered and celebrated on this day. It’s such a privilege and honor to be Lillian’s mother! I’m so thankful that God blessed Josh and I with her. Last Mother’s Day I was pregnant and about to meet this gorgeous, sweet little bundle! For a couple Mother’s Days before that, I remember that while so blessed and happy to celebrate MY mother and the mothers in our family, I was secretly sad inside, wondering if I would ever join the ranks of women called Mom. Trying unsuccessfully for a while to become pregnant makes you just that much more thankful and awed when you DO become pregnant! We’re so happy with our baby girl, and I couldn’t be more proud or ecstatic to be her Mom!!

Today we’re going up to my parents’ house to celebrate Mother’s Day with my parents, Grandma, and my siblings. I’m so honored to be a part of this family and have so many wonderful moms to celebrate! Thank you, Mom, for being the best Mom ever, and for being such a great example of a Mom for me to follow with Lillian!
