Our baby is one year old!!

Dearest Lillian, as I write this you are sleeping on my lap, having drifted off to sleep for the night while nursing. I look down at you and marvel at your beauty, at the miracle that you are! At this time last year, Daddy and I were walking the halls of the hospital to speed labor along so we could see you and hold you for the first time as soon as possible! I only ended up being in active labor for about 6 hours, then pushing for 16 minutes, then you were here!! We were all so eager to meet each other! 😉

Lillian, you’re amazing! You’re exactly everything we prayed for and dreamed of..our perfect child, our perfect daughter! I’m so emotional right now; it’s just amazing to me how much you’ve grown and changed since your birth one year ago! You now say words like “catty” (kitty), “petty” (pretty), “gomma” (grandma) in addition to dada, dadow (shadow), and a rare “mama” 😉 You try to stand on your own, and you’re so big and strong. You wear size 18 month clothes. You are just as beautiful as ever, and as sweet and smart. We’re so proud of you, Lillian, our precious baby girl!
