What Lillian’s been up to

Lillian has been learning and doing so many new things recently! The poor baby still has a cold it seems, even though it only seems to affect her when she lays down to nurse with me, she chokes and gags on some clear mucous that seems to gurgle in the back of her throat. Sometimes still she has a nose that runs with clear mucous. So it doesn’t really seem like a cold anymore. Not sure what it is, poor baby.

Some of the exciting things Lillian does now:

She shakes her head “No”! Especially in her high chair. 🙂

She walks a LOT holding just one hand of ours now! She also walks behind her ride and walk dinosaur by herself.

She stood up on her own without holding anything once yesterday!

She identifies and shows us “Leg” “Arm” “Nose” “Belly Button” “Hand” and “Foot”! I have a short video of Lillian showing me her arm that I recorded with my cell phone. I tried to upload the video here but wordpress told me that for security reasons that file type wasn’t allowed. Hmmm. Anyone know how to get around that so I can post it here?

She says “Mama” again. Yay!!!! 🙂 Still says “Dada” all the time too, and “Shadow” still all the time too.

She says “Danger” whenever we tell her not to touch something. 🙂 I had taught her that the oven was “Danger” and not to touch, so now she says that for anything we ask her not to touch, ha ha! It’s so touching and sweet and smart though, she figured out even what danger means on her own, and tells us things are dangerous! When we were watching fireworks on the 4th of July she kept saying “Danger”! to the fireworks, ha ha! Also when I was standing on our hill looking at our avocado tree while Josh was holding her at the top of the hill, she was looking panicked at me and kept shouting “Danger!” “Danger!” So sweet. 🙂
