15 months old

Lillian turned 15 months old on August 28th! She changes so much every day it seems like. It’s incredible all that she can say and do now! I wouldn’t even be able to list everything…I know I’d forget tons! But I’ll try to list some of what she is up to now!

  • She knows and says the colors yellow, blue, and purple
  • She knows and says that cows say “moo”, sheep say “baa”, and kitties say “meow”!
  • She recognizes and says the letter “B” when she sees it, and when we ask her what letter “baby”, “ball”, etc start with she says “B”!
  • She says “Ning Ning” when she sees her “warning” sticker on the side of her kiddie pool (She asks for her pool EVERY DAY multiple times a day, ha ha! She asks for “bah bah” -what she calls her bath- and says “diady” for diaper, and goes to the cupboard and brings me her swim diapers.) By the way, if anyone is looking for a hard plastic kiddie pool, as of the end of August the ONLY place we could find that was still selling them was the local Ace Hardware. So check there first!
  • She says “May May” when she sees her cousin Mason
  • She says “ninny” and pats her chest (how she says “Lillian”)
  • She prays (folds her hands and says “MayMen” for Amen)
  • She says “knee” and points to her or our knees
  • She runs and climbs and wants to read, color with crayons, go in her pool, play with toys…she is just so amazing and wonderful and smart!

She had her 15 month well baby check up today, and everyone working there was exclaiming at her intelligence! They said she’s a genius and impressive….we sure wouldn’t argue with that! 😉

Her stats:

She’s 31 1/2 inches tall –  78th percentile

23 lbs 10 oz – 60th percentile

and her head circumference is 17.9 inches – 38th percentile

She had her finger pricked for a blood draw to check her iron levels (back to well within normal…yay!! No more floradix iron supplementation!) and she watched the whole procedure (even Josh and I had to look away). She never even cried or fussed! She had the tech soooo impressed!!! That’s our brilliant girl!!
