April Tradition II

Last year was Lillian’s first annual photo in the wildflowers. (See the start of it all HERE.) This year we were eager to do it again! I can’t believe that next April we will have TWO children of our own to continue this tradition with! So exciting. 🙂

It was very hot and midday when we went today…not the best time for a long hot hike along the lake in weeds to get to the (sadly sparse this year) patch of wildflowers. Plus, being hugely pregnant made it extra hard and out-of-breath for me! Also, this year Lillian is VERY mobile and really didn’t want to stay still for the photographs 😉

And here she was last year – our beautiful girl has grown so much!

Thank you, Laura, and Mom! 🙂 We always love to go there. What a great fun day this was, even if it was a bit hot and my poor pregnant wife had to walk for what seemed like miles. You’re so tough, Sweetie! I can’t believe how much our beautiful girl has grown inside and out since last year!

Lillian is just such a huge source of joy and happiness for us. It’s so exciting just seeing her wonder of the lake and the animals. It was too precious to see her wanting to touch the ducks and geese, asking to “hug it” and “touch them geese”. She just loved to chase after them.

I think I could have done better with the photos but I know how tough it was for both you and Lillian to wait there in the sun. I’m so proud of how well you did in those conditions with your growing tummy! It’s always tough to do photos in the middle of the day but I still love just to have some and, of course, any of you and Lillian are great.

  Thanks sweetie! It was tougher than I thought to walk in that sun and heat! Glad we did it though. You got excellent photos as always! It was so fun to watch Lillian chase the ducks and geese!
