We’re having a baby!!!

So, this is my big news…and why I haven’t been feeling up to blogging (or doing anything, actually) lately! Josh and I had decided last Fall that we were ready to start our family, and we were so convinced that we would be successfully pregnant the first time trying. Ha! Almost exactly one year later, we finally had a positive home pregnancy test! 🙂 🙂

We are thrilled that we are going to be growing our family, and we can’t wait to meet our little one! We found out I was pregnant on September 30, 2010. On November 15 we had our first ultrasound (hi, baby!), and now on January 10, 2011 we get to find out if we’re having a little girl or a little boy! Yay, we can’t wait!!

It’s probably a blessing in disguise that we didn’t get pregnant the first time trying for a couple of reasons: One, we were very busy and stressed with ongoing yard renovations; Two, as much as we thought we were ready, I have to admit that sometimes I was secretly relieved when my period came. At first. After a few months of failure, I was starting to get really upset. Seeing that we might not be able to have children really made us want it all the more, and be more appreciative and awestruck when it did finally happen for us! We are so totally ready for this, and super excited to have children!

This pregnancy has been very rough on me. I’ve had extreme nausea all day and night every day. And it still isn’t going away!! I thought I was supposed to feel better in the second trimester!! Come on already, I really want to get to enjoy this pregnancy finally! I’m very happy that I am pregnant, but hate being pregnant, if that makes any sense.

Josh has been wonderful; he is making all the meals, doing all the dishes, cleaning the house, doing the laundry…all this on top of what he usually used to do, too. Thank you so much Honey! You’re a lifesaver, and I can’t tell you in words just how appreciated you are, and how much I love you!! You’re the best!
