The past week around here

I have some photos to post so I figured I’d just do it all in one entry here. We had Mom and Dad over for dinner last Friday night (first time I’ve made them dinner since being pregnant! I finally felt up to it, yay!). I can’t believe that we remembered to pull out the camera to take a pic of the dinner I made (the Honey Apricot Glazed Pork Roast), yet we totally forgot to get pics of Mom and Dad while they were here! Pregnancy brain, I tell ya. It was so fun to have them over here again!

Here’s the pork roast: (thanks for the picture, Josh!)

And earlier that day I’d weeded the vegetable garden. It really needed it! We have a few green peppers still growing here and there, and some red chili peppers, and some carrots, and some sage and parsley. You couldn’t see them amongst all the weeds. Here’s the before:

And here’s after weeding:

Here’s some of our veggies that are left in the garden right now:

Here’s the last of the tomatoes we harvested: (the plants were dying and dead, so we just picked even the unripened ones)

Here is some freesia that had reseeded itself from last year:

And our grape vines are starting to leaf out again: (also, our blueberries are already appearing on the bushes, but I forgot to get a picture of that)

We had these bananas

Β and wanted to use them up before they went bad. I made us banana chocolate chip muffins using the Basic Muffin Mix. I just added 2 mashed bananas and a whole bag of Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips. Yum!

Here’s a great shot that Josh got of our current flower arrangement in the house (freesias, a rose, a sprig of sweet broom, paperwhites, and gazanias):

And here is Shadow laying under the bench outside:
