Fresh salad any time

Last month we decided to order the aerogarden! I’d been getting advertisements for it in the mail for a long time, and when the most recent catalog came we just splurged and ordered it. We both love to eat salads, and while we did grow our own lettuce in our garden last year, it was very upsetting to see that the stray cats we’ve been feeding occasionally spray on our veggies! Yuck! We can’t eat that. Especially while I’m pregnant, we’re being extra careful about everything, so this way we know exactly what’s been in contact with our lettuce the entire time it’s growing!

We have our aerogarden set up in the dining room, and it has been wonderful! We had little sprouts almost immediately, and those grew to full lettuce leaves very fast. We have romaine and mixed salad greens. We’ve had to raise the grow lights a few inches so far already…these are very fast growers! So far we’ve both gotten to eat two salads from it, and there is plenty more to harvest too. We’re loving it!
