Good news
I never did post how the actual colposcopy went (that I was so nervous about)…but let’s just say it wasn’t pleasant! The doctor did do a biopsy of my cervical canal and that caused cramping and some spotting afterwards. Actually the cramping started during the procedure. She warned me I would feel fourย short and hard cramps while she was taking the biopsy…and I did. The last one was a doozy! She did my annual pap smear while she had me there, too, so at least that’s out of the way for a year.
I finally couldn’t take it anymore and called the doctor’s office to find out if my results were in. I was told I’d get a call back. A couple of hours later, I DID get a call back…to let me know the doctor would call me later. Okay. THAT was a letdown. I got all nervous during thatย call for nothing!
Finally my doctor called and told me the biopsy came back negative, and the test for HPV came back negative!! Yay! Praise God. I’m so relieved! She said the pap results haven’t come back yet but that she’s not worried about it. She said she’d see me next year for an annual pap. I am just so relieved. That’s a weight off my chest.
Lillian was hanging out in her swing while I was on the phone with the doctor. Doesn’t she just look so angelic and serene and gorgeous?! She’s my dream baby. I am so constantly amazed that she’s finally here. After over a year of dreaming about and trying to get pregnant, and nine months of nausea while hoping and praying for a healthy baby girl…it doesn’t get any better than this. She is here…the baby Josh and I wanted so badly and couldn’t wait to meet!
