The Versatile Blogger Award
Lisha over at One House, One Couple has awarded me the Versatile Blogger Award! Thanks Lisha. 🙂
Versatile: embracing a variety of subjects, fields, or skills; also: turning with ease from one thing to another; having many uses or applications.
So the problem with receiving awards like this (don’t get me wrong, I’m very flattered!) is that you then have to follow these instructions that go with it:
- Thank the person who gave you this award and link back to their blog.
- Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly
- Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award
- Inform each nominee with a comment on their blog
- Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.
I think this award is a fun way to introduce you, my readers, to other blogs that you may not have come across, so check out the blogs I list below. 🙂
In no particular order, the blogs I nominate are: (And if you don’t participate in awards or blogging games then PLEASE feel free to ignore the tag…I just think you deserve a mention anyway!)
Sarah at A Girl In Transit
Elena at The Art of Making A Baby
Kyna at Great Expectations
Hollie Ann at Hollie Takes Notes
Rachel at Dreaming of the Country
Liz at Mabel’s House
Kristin at Project Babies (Formerly known as Project Baby)  😉
Anna at Scandinavian Cottage
Camille at Life in Mod
Natalia and Christie at Ma Nouvelle Mode
Becky at Organizing Made Fun
Belle at Petite Biet
Erin at Sunny Side Up
Nikki at Two Peas in a Space Pod
Molly at Urban Nester
Seven random/interesting (or un-interesting!) facts about me:
- I was the bass player in a Goth band. We played all over San Diego and Los Angeles, including Hollywood. Josh was the singer (and songwriter and musician) in a Goth/industrial/electronic band also, and that’s how me met. 🙂
- I am of mostly German and Norwegian descent, with some English and Celtic thrown in as well.
- I was a competitive equestrian from the ages of 10 to about 17. I was into Hunter/Jumper. Horses and jumping were my passion! When I was a child I was convinced I would have a career in horses. I miss it sometimes!
- Â I attended a private church school from grades K-8.
- I broke my right arm in a bike accident when I was 11 years old – it broke in two places. When I was around 20 years old I broke my right foot in three places – just from twisting my foot wrong while hiking (in the dark)!
- Josh and I both love nature and wildlife. Since buying our house we’ve learned the names and songs of most of the birds that frequent our area.
- Becoming a mother, having Lillian as my daughter, has filled me with unending joy, pride, and protectiveness! We tried for almost exactly a year to get pregnant…wanting and praying for it more and more with each passing day.
So there you have it! If you’re reading this and want to leave a comment, how about you tell us at least one fact about yourself (unless you’re one of the nominees, then you’ll be maybe writing 7 of your own on your blog!)
Should be fun. I look forward to learning a random thing about you! 🙂
