An April Tradition
In April 2009, Josh and I took our beautiful nieces to an area that gets very pretty wildflowers every Spring.
We loved how the pictures turned out, and we vowed that when we had children of our own we would take them to that same spot at the same time of year.
Now that we’ve been blessed with a beautiful daughter of our own, we couldn’t wait to take her to the field of flowers for a photo shoot!
We’d been talking about it but never could make the time, with our different sleep schedules right now. April was coming to a close, and we just decided on the spur of the moment that we had to just do it on April 27. So we didn’t miss Lillian’s first April in the field of flowers, whew! We’re very happy we did it (even though I didn’t take the time to put on makeup or do my hair…) and we are going to make it an April Tradition for as long as Lillian wants to!
We’re so glad we did it, even though it meant just heading out spur of the moment one day.
We hope to keep up the tradition for many years to come. Do you have any traditions you’ve started or want to start with your children?
