Four years ago today…

 

On the 21st of May, four years ago, Josh proposed to me! It was such a wonderful day! Josh had told me that we should take our parents out for a late Mother’s Day brunch at the Hotel Del Coronado’s Crown Room buffet that day; I thought that sounded wonderful, so I was looking forward to that very much. I had to admit that I had a very hopeful feeling (and some happy butterflies in my stomach) that Josh would possibly be popping the question that day. It just felt right! I was still so surprised and happy when he did, though! I cried tears of joy, and loved every minute of it!

I’m so glad our parents were there on that important day, to get to share our joy and happiness! It was a very memorable and wonderful meal afterwards, too! Before we arrived, Josh had told his mom to go down to the beach and draw a heart in the sand with the question “Rachel, will you marry me? Love, Josh” written inside of it; and there was a beautiful bouquet of red roses, too. Josh had driven me and my parents down to the del, and we met up with Josh’s mom on the beach; there in front of the heart, Josh got down on his knee and presented me with a ring…I’m getting misty-eyed just writing this. I’m a very happy and blessed woman!

Today I made a cherry chicken dish for our meal, with some homemade chocolate cherry muffins. We also had a house-guest (Steven) for a few days until this morning; more on that tomorrow!
