Family Tree Friday: George Munkel and Anna Hinrichs

This is my Great-Great-Grandfather George Munkel and his wife, my Great-Great-Grandmother, Anna Munkel (Hinrichs).

He was born in 1857 in Germany, and she was born in 1860 in Illinois. They both died in 1927. They had 10 children, including George Jr. who was my Great-Grandfather. These images of them are taken from a painting that was done of them:

This is terrific, Honey:):):) I LOVE the description of your “ever so quick” (ha ha) drive thru experience – what a riot!!!! I’m so glad the food was good and they gave you a lot of it!! Not a good repeat place though, huh – LOL:)

I don’t think I’ve seen this pic! I think it’s “Hinrichs”, though. And where was the pic of the painting taken? Because my parents have that same wallpaper:-)

  Hi Miranda! The pic was probably taken at your parents house! George took this picture of the painting when he went to Minnesota for your wedding! 🙂 Do your parents own this painting? It’s awesome. I’d love to see more old family photos or paintings!
  Thanks for the correction on the name, I changed it to the correct spelling now! I may omit all last names anyway on future Family Tree Friday posts, just for privacy’s sake, or maybe I will leave last names where, like this, it is two or more generations back.
