Hello, cousin! My name is Douglas Rohde and I live in Old Town Alexandria, VA with my wife and our three year old and nine month old sons. I found your blog searching for more information on Franklin and Maria (Mosher) Snyder, my third great grandparents. I was the one who uploaded the photos you used for the entry on him. 🙂 I just thought you should know I tracked down a cousin with the surname of Swanjord and he has a tin-type of Franklin with his brother Finley taken in Baltimore just a week before Finely was killed in battle. I am descended from Albert Ernest Snyder, Ulysses Grant’s brother. You and my wife would get along amazingly well, she is finishing up a graduate degree and stays home with the boys. She’s way into motherhood and would love to read through your site. I hope all is well on your end! Take care.

Your name is familiar to me and that must be why! You uploaded those pics to ancestry! Thank you! Sounds like our kids are close in age! Wow I would love to see that tintype!
